Overview
This Journey will introduce you to two completely different countries and cultures in a matter of just 15 days! Week one is in Ulaan Baatar, Mongolia, and during the second week you will be in Ulan-Ude, Russia. Highlights will include sleeping in a ger camp, visits to Mongolian national parks, temples and museums, and the biggest statue of Chinggis Khan. In Ulan-Ude, you can look forward to visiting a Buddhist temple, spending some time on the shores of Lake Baikal, and getting a taste of Buryat national cuisine.

July 24, 2021
All ambassadors arrive in Ulaanbaatar Mongolia, where they will be picked up one by one and taken to their host families
On the way, you will see the contrast between ancient traditions and the dawning of a 21st century democracy – most visible in Ulaanbaatar where traditional gers and Buddhist monasteries fascinatingly coexist with modern high-rises and international restaurants

In the afternoon, all club members and ambassadors will attend to the welcome party at “PEACE” restaurant, via bus

July 26, 2021
All ambassadors meet at meeting point and go to Terelj National Park to see Turtle Rock, Aryaval Temple, and stay at Ger camp. (By bus)

July 27, 2021
In the morning, ambassadors will go to see Giant Chinggis Khan statue at Tsonjin Boldog and then go to see 13th Century national park.
Then go back to Ger camp and stay one more night there. (By bus)

July 28, 2021
After breakfast, we will visit the nomad and herder families to see their lifestyle, culture, and learn how Mongolians prepare real Mongolian barbecue called “Khorkhog.”
Afternoon, go back to Ulaanbaatar city. (By bus)

July 29, 2021
City tour day:

In the evening, go to see Tumen Ekh ensemble concert. (By bus)

July 30, 2021
Free day with their host families, you may go to the Department store with your hosts.
In the afternoon, all club members and ambassadors will attend to the goodbye party at “PEACE” restaurant.

July 31, 2021
Last day, depart from Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia to Ulan-Ude, Russia by bus at 7:30 am.

August 1, 2021
All ambassadors arrive from Ulaanbaatar Mongolia, and are picked up from bus station and takes to their host families.
Visit Ivolginskiy dastan (Buddhist temple) – the center of Buddhism in Russia. Participate in the service.
Lunch.
Welcome dinner (all club members and ambassadors will attend.)

August 2, 2021
Free day with host families.
City tour with families.
Invite hosts to dinner.

August 3, 2021
Trip to Lake Baikal
Time with “Grandfather Baikal.”
Free time on Lake Baikal.
Dinner.

August 4, 2021
Trip to Island Olkhon (shaman’s Island) by boat.
Lunch.
Bring warm sweater, as it can be chilly.
Spend all day on the Island.
Back to hotel in the evening.
Dinner.

August 5, 2021
Breakfast.
Check out and departure to Ulan-Ude (bus).
Lunch on way home.
Return to home hosts.
Dinner.

August 6, 2021
Meeting with women nuns – Buddhist datsan women “Zungon Darzhaling” – at female Buddhist monastery.
Lunch.
Reception from Lam healers, astrologers.
Farewell dinner.

August 7, 2021
Arrive to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
Depart from Mongolia.

- The average weather in July-August about 63 - 77°F and sunny, but it can change drastically, so please bring a rain coat and a warm sweater for evenings.
- You will carry your luggage (when you will travel from Mongolia to Russia) by bus.
