Overview

Join us on this arts and architecture themed Journey, where we will show you a side of Dallas, Texas that most people don't know exists!

Home Hospitality

Home Hospitality provided by the Friendship Force club of Dallas.

Live With a Local

  • Enjoy a program that aims to promote cultural education and understanding, with a chance to see Dallas in a light different from the generally accepted stereotype.
  • Experience the Soluna International Music and Arts Festival which is a festival that brings together international artists with our finest arts organizations. Anchored by performances with Jaap van Zweden and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, SOLUNA celebrates Dallas’s rich cultural legacy and diversity of expression. According to Forbes.com, “Soluna Bridges The Gap Between Classical Music And Contemporary Culture."

Sightseeing Highlights

  • Tour of Fair Park, a 277-acre recreational and educational complex. The area is registered as a Dallas Landmark, as well as a National Historic Landmark. Fair Park contains the largest collection of 1930’s Art Deco exposition architecture in the US. Many of the Art Deco buildings were constructed for the Texas Centennial Exposition in 1936.
  • See the central city with contemporary and mid-century modern buildings designed by six different winners of the Pritzker Prize, architecture’s equivalent to the Nobel Prize.
  • Visit to the Warehouse Gallery, showcasing the private modern art collections of Howard Rachofsky and Vernon Faulconer - admission is by invitation only, but we have arranged for ambassadors to tour the collection during the Journey.
  • Experience the Dallas Arts District which, at 68 acres, is the largest contiguous arts district in the USA. The Nasher Sculpture Gallery, Crow Collection of Asian Art, Dallas Museum of Art, Meyerson Symphony Hall, Winspear Opera House and Wyly Theater are some of the venues in the Arts District you may visit or where you may attend theater performances.
Lovely accommodation of all ambassadors and we were well fed. Activities were delightful and engaging. - Ambassador Coordinator from Columbia Cascade, October 2016
