About the club
Most members of the club are women, and they plan most of the events of each Journey. The members of the club are kind and amiable. Each year we host one club and go on outbound Journey to one country. We can host about 15 ambassadors now, taking them to the famous shrine of Izumo and Matsue castle or the museum, flower gardens, and other places.
About the region
Tottori Prefecture is located in southwest of Japan. It is 800 km far from Tokyo, one hour and half by airplane from Haneda Airport and six hours by train. Yonago city is full of nature, the ocean and mountains, rich in seafoods like tuna and crab. The town is medium size with many of shopping stores and it is a very livable place for people of all ages.
About the Journey
Usually we go to Izumo – a large shrine – and Matsue Castle. We also visit a flower park full of roses and peonies and Japan’s most famous art museum of garden. We let ambassadors experience Japanese culture of paper folding, kimono dressing, and calligraphy. An extra cost for the trip by bus is about US $50.
