About the club

In October, 1992, the Niigata club hosted the International Conference and in May 1998 the Japan and Asia-Pacific Conferences. Friendship Force members from many countries attended these conferences.

About the region

Niigata Prefecture is in the northeast area of the county situated on the sea of Japan. By Shinkansen (Bullet train), it is 2 hours from Tokyo. Very fine rice is grown here. From gardens, many vegetables, fruits to enjoy. We have pure water for drinking.

About the Journey

Many activities are planned for ambassadors to see and experience Japanese life and traditions. Excursions are planned for a visit to Northern Culture Museum and gardens, temples, to the mountains, Ikebana lesson, traditional tea ceremony, seasonal festivals and events, time for browsing, shopping, meeting other club members. Welcome and farewell parties are planned, also families’“pot-luck ”parties. All programs are included by host fees.
