How do Friendship Festivals differ from Exchanges?

• Festivals feature hotel stays, with tours of the area and programs highlighting local history and cultural interests.  Many are organized to tie in with local celebrations or events.  The hotel stay is usually followed by hosting in club members’ homes in the same or nearby area for two nights or more. 

• Festival participants register individually, rather than being a part of a club exchange. With Festivals, there is an emphasis on attendees getting to meet and know their fellow-participants from different areas and different countries.
